Wagner's book is one of the fundamental works of operations research. It is published in Russian in three volumes.

Volume 3 reflects modern advances in stochastic modeling and considers numerous problems of optimizing control decisions in relation to processes, phenomena and states characterized by parameters obeying the laws of probability theory. A number of instructive examples are given that illustrate the capabilities of the methods described (queue models, probabilistic inventory management models, a managed economy model, etc.).
