Wagner's book is one of the fundamental works of operations research. It is published in Russian in three volumes.

In the first volume, the basic concepts of operations research are presented in detail and methods for optimizing control decisions using a linear programming apparatus are considered. A significant part of the book is devoted to the discussion of specific optimization techniques on networks.
