Vermintide is an epic co-op first-person combat adventure set in the End Times of the legendary Warhammer fantasy universe.
Vermintide takes place in the city of Ubershreik and its surroundings, which are teeming with skaven - a race of ruthless rat people. You will play the role of one of five heroes, each with a unique personality, play style, abilities and equipment. Working together, you must use the individual abilities of the heroes to survive the apocalyptic invasion of the Skaven hordes. The battles will take place in a variety of locations, from the top of the Magna Tower to the bowels of the Lower Empire.
The time of mortals is drawing to a close and the realm of Chaos is approaching. The dark gods have finally united with a single purpose, spreading their madness throughout the world like never before. In the Sigmar Empire, Karl Franz watches closely the invasion of the wild northerners, but this is far from the only threat. After the full moon of Chaos Morrslieb had risen, shrill voices echoed through the tunnels deep beneath the cities of the Empire, and hordes of Skaven rushed to the surface. First, something suddenly appears in the city of Ubershreik: a disgusting screeching mass that sweeps away everything in its path. And now Ubershreik has become one large cemetery, sinking under the ominous shadow of the Horned Rat.
However, even in the darkest times, there are always heroes lighting the way. While the deserted city sags and shrinks from fear, like a living creature, five warriors united by a capricious fate fight back the rat-people. The future will show whether they have enough strength to survive, not to mention how to work together for a long time and prevent the invaders. However, one thing is quite clear: if these five fall, Ubershreik will fall with them.
