In Guard Dogs, you play as Aiden Pearce, a hacker who has learned too much about his employer, as a result of which they try to kill him. Even though they didn't succeed, your niece died in the process and now you're out of revenge.

The game takes place in a near future version of Chicago, where a widespread computer network called the Central Operating System or CTOS controls everything. Using your skills as a hacker and a specially designed mobile phone, you will be able to access this system and turn the entire city into your weapon of revenge. You can use this feature to create dynamic covers in gunfights, manipulate traffic lights to lead to accidents, use road blocks usually reserved for cops to stop chases, and more.

You can approach each challenge given to you in a different way from going into flashing weapons, hacking your way through cameras, guarding cell phones and other gadgets never stepping into a building you want to infiltrate. The way the game plays varies dramatically depending on what type of player you are.

Watch Dogs also has a reputation system that reacts to your actions outside of missions. You can turn to police crime prevention software to take, which uses facial recognition to identify potential criminals and victims, and decided to step in with a reputation bonus. This will determine how the general public sees and reacts to you.

Multiplayer is handled differently than most games. In Watch Dogs, you can easily enter other game players and try to hack your phone in order to install a backdoor virus in order to steal information collected during the game. They will, however, be notified of your presence as soon as you do so and they will try to stop you.
Apart from this, you also have a free roaming mode 8 player, which further expands the possibilities offered in single player mode, being able to share it with your friends.

Watch_Dogs takes place in a fully simulated living city where, using your smartphone, you have real-time control over the city's infrastructure. Trap your enemy in a 30-car congestion by manipulating traffic lights. Stop the train and then take it to evade power. Narrowly avoid getting caught by quickly raising the drawbridge. Anything related to the CTOS of the city can be your weapon.

Use a combination of shooting and hacking to gain an advantage in a given situation. The streets are for you to create your own plan of attack. All in all, you will have access to over 30 traditional weapons.
