The basis of each location is a vast territory for free walks (something close to "Call of Pripyat"), and not a wide corridor, as in Diablo 3. "Sleeves" lead from it. And what awaits us in these "sleeves" - snow-capped mountains, an abandoned cave or a cemetery of pirate ships - no one knows. The authors often change the setting, and the battles themselves are much more dynamic and colorful compared to the first part. Monsters effectively scatter in scarlet pieces, albeit without honest physics, and when the rage scale fills up, the character heated up in battle hits even faster and more painfully. In addition, the artists slightly smoothed out the angular graphics and painted a lot of nice little things while maintaining the corporate identity. And only some of the melodies give off something very "devilishly" familiar ... Matt Uelmen could not get away from his roots, could not.
The motley transfer camp was also put in order. If in Torchlight several "exclamation marks" moved around it, then here we mainly find optional quests "on the way". True, they did not develop into something more than "kill / bring / slam N waves of evil spirits." The most original thing that I have seen once is not to leave the moving circle of light, fighting off the pressing monsters. No inappropriate jumps into portals, tearing away from the main task (only rare "phase portals" were left); dungeon cards have disappeared from the shops and are now post-game level modifiers. Moreover, bonuses are sometimes given to both parties. Or you can start the campaign again with the old character. Or try out one more class of four (for example, the tactics of the "engineer" show the methods of the "warrior").
