1. According to the 1959 census, the population of the RSFSR was 117,2 million people, including urban - 61,1 million people, rural - 56,1 million people. According to the 1970 census, the total population of the republic increased to 129,9 million people, of which the urban population accounted for 80,6 million people and the rural population - 49,3 million people. According to 1979 data, only 137,4 million people were registered, including the urban population - 94,9 million people and the rural population - 42,5 million people. According to 1989 data, a total of 147 million people were registered, of which the urban population - 108 million people and the rural population - 39 million people. According to the 2002 All-Russian Population Census, the total population of Russia was 145,1 million people, of which the urban population was 106,4 million, and the rural population was 38,7 million.
