State of Decay (Steam Gift / Region Free)

At first glance, State of Decay came out at a fantastically unfortunate time - just a couple of weeks before The Last of Us. In such a confrontation, she has no chance; even comparing them is somehow awkward. A bad looking (almost at the level of the previous generation of consoles), downloadable game from an independent studio without a coherent plot - and a key PS3 exclusive, in which an incomparable amount of money and effort was invested and whose plot is compared to outstanding films or books. But it is precisely thanks to the last point that the work of Undead Labs unexpectedly turns into kings: if The Last of Us could just as well have become a movie or a book, then State of Decay fully justifies its format. You wouldn't watch a movie where the hero is killed in the fifth minute during an unsuccessful outing for stew, or read a story that ends on page seven thanks to a zombie flock in a veterinary hospital. But within the framework of the game, such collisions look completely organic. State of Decay is truly the most honest end of the world.
