Serious Sam 3: BFE is an arcade-style meaty first-person shooter that is a prequel to the rest of the series. The armies of the evil Mental are attacking the Earth, and the player in the role of Tough Sam, an invincible warrior, will have to find and activate an ancient time machine in order to save the Earth and all its inhabitants from destruction.
Since the events of the game are a prequel, where Sam has not yet traveled to the past, the developers have chosen a modern setting - players travel across Egypt, fighting aliens both in cities and in the ruins of ancient temples for twelve large levels. Most of the levels are linear, and on them you need to destroy as many opponents as possible, reaching the end of the level. The arsenal of weapons has changed slightly - Sam now has a sledgehammer, a pistol, a ship's cannon, a shotgun, a double-barreled gun, a laser rifle and a sniper rifle at his disposal - the latter, however, only in the form of secret types of weapons.
