Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a computer game from the Prince of Persia series, developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The game was released on May 21, 2010 on consoles and on June 11, 2010 on PC. The game has nothing to do with Prince of Persia (2008), but continues the storyline of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The versions of the game for the PSP, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS consoles are completely different from the version common for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. These versions have their own storyline and gameplay, and are practically separate games, they are connected only by a single name, the main character and the setting.
The prince decides to visit the kingdom of his older brother Malik in order to learn martial art from him, but finds him under siege by the enemy army. Trying to get rid of the invaders with the help of a two-piece magic medallion, Malik unleashes the mysterious army of Solomon. However, having escaped to freedom, she turns all the inhabitants of the kingdom into sand statues. Now only the Prince can stop her.
During his adventures, the Prince meets the genie queen Razia. She tells the Prince that in fact Solomon's army was created by the efreet Ratash many centuries ago in order to exterminate the jinn and people. And it is called so because it was directed to overthrow King Solomon. But the genies and people, by joining forces, were able to imprison Ratash and his army. Now he broke free again.
Razia explains to the Prince that only by combining both parts of the medallion can the army be locked up again. The prince undertakes to find Malik, who has the other half of the medallion. All attempts to persuade Malik to give the second part remain unsuccessful. In addition, Ratash is trying to destroy his liberators, first the Prince, and then his brother. During the battle with the brothers, ifrit possesses Malik and breaks his seal. Subsequently, Malik, possessed by an evil spirit, turns into a giant monster.
The prince again meets Razia, and she, dissatisfied with the fact that he tried to fight with Ratash, advises to find him the sword of King Solomon, because now this is the only way to defeat the ifrit. The sword is hidden in the city of jinn Rekeme, where the Prince, having overcome all the traps, finds him. Since only another genie can defeat the evil genie, Razia possesses Solomon's sword. During a sandstorm, the Prince finds Malik-Ifrit and kills him. Malik, freed from the evil spirit, takes his former form and dies in the arms of the Prince. All the inhabitants of the kingdom are freed from the sand curse.
The prince brings the sword back to Rekem and tries to talk to Razia, but in response he hears only silence. The main character returns back to Babylon, where he tells his father about a terrible incident.
