Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is another part of the long-running series, the release of which is timed to coincide with the film "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time", and is periodically intertwined with it, although it is strikingly different. In "Forgotten Sands" the player needs to take control of the young Prince, who arrived to meet his brother, but on the way it turned out that his brother's castle was attacked, the enemies were storming the citadel, and was about to rush inside. Well, a little later, the hero is completely involved in a world intrigue, the result of which may be the end of the world, which, of course, you will have to prevent. The mechanics in front of the player is a seemingly standard game about the Prince, although deep inside all the mechanics are turned upside down and changed ten times - for the better. The main thing is that the developers have finally managed to find the very middle ground between complexity and fun - now it is quite pleasant to play, especially compared to other parts of the series. In addition, something else was added to the game - a kind of magic that seriously helps the protagonist as you progress through the game, as well as an excellent and logical combat system that is simple, understandable, and at the same time spectacular and effective. In addition, The Forgotten Sands has seriously improved the acrobatic part - it is now much more logical, and does not force the player to break the keyboard or gamepad in the hope of composing the desired key combination. And given the fact that there are a lot of acrobatics in the game, then this is just a gift from above. In addition, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands has a role-playing component - the hero gains experience, learns new skills, improves his abilities in controlling the elements and time, and over time turns into a truly indestructible machine for cutting enemies. Alas, the role-playing system will not completely cure a passable and stupid plot - it is so unnecessary that it becomes even somehow embarrassing to play a project with such a crazy plot. The game looks great graphically - bright special effects, good detail and other graphic "goodies" - excellent dynamic lighting, and a very bright, catchy picture. Sound and music also help to plunge to the end into the atmosphere, albeit silly, but very well-staged action.
