Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle computer game, a sequel to Portal (2007), developed by Valve Corporation. The game was officially announced by Valve on March 5, 2010 [1]. Co-op mode has a separate storyline.
Comparing Portal and its sequel, Valve emphasizes that the first part was just an experiment, while Portal 2 is already a full-fledged game with completely new gameplay elements and a much longer duration [6] (the gameplay is designed for about 6 hours in single player mode and the same number in cooperative [7]).
