Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 (Russian: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2) is a computer game in the shooter genre. It is a sequel to the 2014 game Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. Excluding Chinese games, it is the fifth game in the Plants vs. series. Zombies. The game was announced on June 15, 2015 at the official Electronic Arts conference at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015. The release is scheduled for February 23, 2016. The game is written on the Frostbite 3[en] engine.

Innovations
3 new playable characters: Citron, Corn and Rose.
Abilities:
Citron - throws plasma balls, can roll around the field, curled into a ball.
Corn - Throws many small projectiles.
Rose - turns zombies into goats.
3 new types of zombies: Superbrain, Captain Deadbeard and Little Imp.
Abilities:
Super Brain - shoots lasers from his own hands, sometimes spins like a top, creating a tornado, can also produce a powerful blow, like the Soccer Star's combat sprint.
Captain Deadbeard - wields a sniper rifle, can hide in a barrel of dynamite and blow up everything around him, and also releases his parrot like a drone.
Little Imp - shoots from a machine gun, can throw a gravity grenade that attracts plants to itself, shoot from all machine guns at once, while spinning like crazy. It can also summon an armored robot called Z-Mech, which fires a powerful machine gun, and also activates spare machine guns and stomps its feet, causing scattered damage. The Z-Mech self-destruct function is also available, in which case the imp jumps out of the robot.

Plot
Dr. Zomboss has captured the suburbs and the player, playing as plants, must recapture it or, conversely, leave it conquered, playing as zombies.
