Overlord II (Steam Key / Region RU / CIS)

The plot follows a familiar scenario, although the victims of bullying are different. In Overlord 2, writer Rhianna Pratchett moved from parody of fairy tales to hot-blooded jokes. For almost three quarters of the game, we are again looking for hives where demons live, trampling with boots anyone who gets in the way. Ignorant northerners from Nordberg, fat tourists from the beaches of Everlight, loud elves (a collective image of hippies, gays and Greenpeace activists), self-confident guardian of Sanctuary - everyone will get nuts. Do you feel sorry for them? Not at all. The characters, of course, are too caricatured, allusions hit you in the head (it's hard not to recognize America in the Empire of the era of George W. Bush), but it's still fun.

True, in the original we were allowed to do real, disinterested good, and our current actions are dictated by purely business considerations. Which is better: execute a hundred inhabitants or turn them into slaves? Your hands are itching to take the bowlers off your shoulders, but you can't earn much from rage. By killing a person, we earn one soul, a bag of gold and, if we're lucky, an item for our charges. A devoted servant will mine resources forever. Of course, there will be nagging, cheap ingratiation and pleading sooner to finish off, but the city will turn into an ideal conveyor belt, supplying goods 25 hours a day. Forget about looking for chests and "farm" raids on sheep herds; zealous Ruler 2.0 gets everything on a silver platter.
