Description
In some cases, you need to find out the real name of the user, while you only have his email (or nickname). This Python script processes the list of emails and tries to determine the real name of the user by nickname (the part of the email before the @), writing the result to a new file. For example, you have a list of emails in a text file as:
oxana@domain.com
roman@domain2.com
ivan@domain3.com
You run the script and at the exit you have a new file, like:
Oksana; oxana@domen.com
Roman; roman@domen2.com
Ivan; ivan@domen3.com
Then you can export the result to your database (or program) and refer to the user from now on using his real name.
The script determines names from the accompanying transcription base of the most popular names (325 most popular names - the base is presented in a separate file available for editing).
To run the script, Python 2.7 must be installed on your system, which is available for all operating systems on the official Python website - python.org
Additional Information
To download the original list of emails, copy it to the folder with the script under the name emailes.txt (or correct the value of this variable in the script itself under the name of your file).
The result will be written to the named_emails.csv file (or correct the value of this variable in the script itself under the name of your file).
To run the script on Windows, double click on the script executable file (Python 2.7 must be installed on your system).
