In 2013, the Japanese publishing house Capcom, together with the Californian development studio Spark Unlimited, released the game Lost Planet 3: the third in the series, but the first in the history timeline. This is a prequel to the first part of a shooter with RPG elements, which significantly changed the mood of the game story.
You play as an ordinary worker Jim. He recently became a father and faced the first financial difficulties of a young family: the Earth is drowning in numerous economic crises, and finding money to live is becoming a real problem. Jim goes to the planet EDN III: to work as a miner in the colony, extracting T-energy from ore: a mineral that largely solves earthly difficulties. However, the Nevec company, which founded the first work camps on the planet, keeps dangerous secrets in which Jim becomes involved.
Destroy Akrid: spider-like monsters attacking mines; build huge mechanical machines; communicate with other miners, learning the details of their lives and little secrets. Discover the mysterious alien world of the future!
