In this multiplayer and cooperative game, you fight bloody battles on the streets, face to face with the enemy, where your team's survival depends on controlling critical points and destroying enemy ammunition, all powered by the Source engine. Insurgency is the heir of the highly acclaimed Source engine mod of the same name. , highly competitive and ruthless, emphasizing the equality of all players.

Multiplayer Game Modes:
Push --- At level 3 control points, the attacking forces push the enemy away and capture the points. Defending these points must stop the attacking forces of the enemy. For each point captured, the attackers earn reinforcements and more time to attack. Once the third control point is captured, the attackers must destroy the cache, while the defenders have only one life to resist.

Firefight --- There are checkpoints at level 3. 2 points are previously captured by two teams, the third point remains neutral. Capture all targets or destroy the enemy team while waiting for reinforcements from captured targets. Every life counts, making this regime stressful and dependent on good teamwork.

Skirmish --- In addition to 3 key points, each team has a cache that they must protect. Teams receive additional reinforcements until their caches are destroyed. When both teams lose their stashes and all their reinforcements, the mode switches to Firefight.

Occupy --- There is one point in the designated area. The team that runs it does not drain its reinforcements. The essence of the mode is similar in style to the King of the Hill game mode.

Ambush --- Accompanying a VIP to a certain destination. The purpose of the escorts is to escort a person when the enemy's goal is to prevent the escort from reaching the destination at any cost. The VIP is only armed with a silenced pistol, but can pick up weapons from fallen enemies or allies.

Strike --- Attack and Defense Mode. In the designated area, there are three potential locations for the cache, which the attackers must locate and destroy. The team defending this cache must build a strong defense, or possibly sabotage to deceive the enemy.

Infiltrate --- Capture the flag mode with an unusual twist. The goal of your team is to capture enemy information and bring it to your base.
