Electric field

In addition to the mechanical interaction of bodies in nature, there are other types of interaction. Bodies capable of such interactions have special physical properties. One of these properties is electrical charge. Bodies possessing an electric charge are able to enter into a new type of interaction, which is called electrical (more precisely, electromagnetic) interaction. An electric charge cannot exist without a material carrier. The electromagnetic interaction exceeds the mechanical one in intensity by about 40 orders of magnitude.
