The universe in which the events of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare unfold is reminiscent of "Game of Thrones" and other worlds of "realistic fantasy". That is, the names and surnames familiar from history textbooks are not found here, but there are enough intrigues, civil strife and other gloom. The prehistory of the conflict is textbook: the king perished in a crusade, and no one waited for his army at home - one of the military leaders who served in the rear usurped power. In general, the warriors under the blue and red flags have a reason for bloodshed.

The main thing here is, as in Age of Chivalry, a simple but deep mechanic of combat with melee weapons, plugging all competitors into the belt. Various attacks do not make you trample the keyboard nervously. It is enough to press the left mouse button and turn the wheel up or down - these are all three basic techniques (chopping from above, from the side and poking). Then the wisdom begins: combinations, false swings, shield strikes and kicks. Alien attacks can be parried by spending energy. The controls are more convenient than the modification, so fighting is a pleasure.

It is especially pleasant to play from the first person view - it is more difficult, but the effect of immersion is much higher: it is as if you find yourself on a battlefield, very similar to the real one. Shouting knights rush forward, steel rings, severed heads and hands fly to the sides. It looks impressive, since Unreal Engine 3 is responsible for the picture, and the animation did not disappoint. The attention to detail finally captivates. If you start, say, thoughtlessly waving the drin - and first of all, chop your comrades-in-arms into cabbage.
