Child of Light (Russian: “Child of Light”) is a XNUMXD Japanese role-playing game developed by the Canadian company Ubisoft Montreal. Child of Light is set in an alternate 1895 Austria. The main character of the game is a girl named Aurora - the daughter of the Duke of Austria, who recently remarried. Aurora suffers from a physical illness that causes her to sleep a lot. One day, after waking up, the girl finds herself in the mythical world of Lemuria. The princess meets a firefly named Igniculus, who leads Aurora to the Forest Fairy, who is captured in a stained glass window. After being freed, the fairy reveals that the dark queen Umbra stole the sun and moon of Lemuria[10].

The fairy gives Aurora stars, a flute and the ability to fly. But Aurora pursues her own goals. She seeks to return to her father, who has become very ill after his daughter disappeared. On the way, the girl meets her half-sister named Nora, who says that she got to Lemuria by walking through a mirror in an old tower. The sisters rush to an abandoned castle to use a portal that leads Aurora to an abandoned tower, where Umbra awaits her. It turns out that Nora is a traitor, and Umbra is the Duke's new wife.

While in captivity, Aurora has a vision of herself and her mother playing under a large tree. The girl runs off to catch fireflies, but when she returns, her mother dies. Before her death, the mother asks the Gods of Lemuria to revive Aurora in the event of her death.

Aurora is freed by a certain Angus and she continues on her way. But this time her goal is not to return home, but to overthrow the Queen of the Night. Aurora defeats Cordelia, taking Luna, and Knox. But then an enraged Umbra shows Aurora a vision, offering to return to the Father if Aurora gives her the Moon and Stars. Aurora refuses and the Duke dies. With his death, his gift also disappears - Aurora’s golden crown, enchanted by the Forest Fairy and protecting Aurora from all external troubles. Umbra takes advantage of the moment and strikes Aurora with lightning, but she manages to take the Sun and dives into the rising stream of water. On the surface, Igniculus finds her and takes her to the Altar, where Aurora first woke up. There, the Forest Fairy, who turns out to be Aurora's mother and the Queen of Light, plays the flute and calls upon everyone Aurora has helped during her journey. With the help of their combined energy, as well as the Sun, Moon and Stars, she resurrects Aurora, giving her new powers.

Angus also meets his Captain, who forgives his service to Umbra and takes him back; Finn meets his grandfather Avo, who admits that Finn, having fought the Darkness, has finally become a man; Robert meets Margaret and she finally agrees to go on a date with him.

Aurora goes to the Palace of Lemuria and defeats Umbra, after which she returns to Austria and leads all the people through the portal in the mirror at the top of the tower. A few minutes later, Austria is swallowed up by water and only one island remains. Aurora becomes the new queen of Lemuria.
