When assembling longitudinal joints, it is necessary to ensure the required gap between the edges and their coincidence vertically within the permissible deviation.
This stand consists of a portal 2, two hydraulic clamps 4 for aligning the longitudinal edges and a hydraulic tie 5 for leveling their ends. Clamps 4 using spring hangers 6 are fixed on trolleys 7 moving along the frame.
Control panels 3 are also fixed on the same trolleys. Clamp 4, hydraulic cylinders - with two clamping 8, one leveling 9 and one tightening 10. Tie 5
for end edges it is a hydraulic cylinder with two chains, at the ends of which there are hooks that engage with the edges of the shell. During assembly, the shell is on the roller supports 1. Before assembly, the shell is turned on the roller supports with the joint upwards and the coupler 5 aligns the end edges in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shell. After that, the edges of the shell are connected with clamps 4 and seized by arc welding, starting from the middle of the joint.
