The stand for the assembly of shells along the annular joints is a trolley 5 with a bracket 4, moving along the rails 10, laid between the roller supports 11, on which the shells to be assembled are placed. Three pneumatic cylinders are fixed on the bracket: front 1, middle 6 and rear 6. The rods of the pneumatic cylinders are connected with the clamps. The rod of the front pneumatic cylinder ends with a clamping heel, and the rods of the middle and rear to increase the clamping force are connected to the clamps by lever transmissions. On the upper part of the brace against the clamps of the front
and the middle pneumatic cylinders there are three adjustable screw stops 2. The bracket can be raised and lowered within 450 mm by means of an electric drive 9 along the guides 7 fixed on the trolley. The cart moves along the rails by an electric drive 8. The bracket is brought inside the shells to be assembled, the left shell is fixed with a clamp I, with a clamp 6 both shells are joined, and with a clamp 3 the edges are aligned and tack welded. Then the clamps are turned off and, turning on the drive of the rollers, they turn the shell for tacking at the next joint. After the joint is assembled, the cart with the bracket is rolled back, a new shell is installed on the stand, and the cycle is repeated. Centralized control of pneumatic cylinders is carried out from a push-button station by electrovalves. In the initial positions, the pneumatic cylinders are turned off by limit switches 12-14.
