ARK: Survival Evolved [Steam | Gift]

As a man or woman stranded naked, freezing and starving on the shores of a mysterious island called ARC, you must hunt, harvest resources, craft items, grow crops, research technology, and build shelters to withstand the elements. Use cunning and resources to kill or tame and breed Leviathan dinosaurs and other primitive creatures roaming the land, and team up with prey or hundreds of other players to survive, dominate ... and escape!

The following features are in the game for its day-1 early access release. We have many more aspects and improvements planned for the long-term development roadmap, and here's what you get to experience now in ARC:



Dinosaurs, Creatures, and Animal Breeding! - More than 50+ in early access and 100+ planned for final release - can be tamed using sophisticated capture - and - similarity of processes, including weakening a wild creature to knock it unconscious and then leaving it to health with appropriate food. Once tamed, you can give commands to your pet, which can follow depending on how well you have tamed and trained him. Pets that can continue to level up and consume food can also carry inventory and equipment such as armor, carry out prey back to the village depending on their strength, and more pets can be driven and directly controlled! Fly a pterodactyl over snow-capped mountains, raise your allies over enemy walls, race through the jungle with a pack of Predators, Tromp through an enemy base along a giant brontosaurus, or chase prey in the back of a raging T-Rex! Take part in a dynamic ecosystem life cycle with your own predators and prey hierarchies, where you are only one creature among many species fighting for dominance and survival. Pets can also be mated to the opposite sex, selectively breeding subsequent generations using a trait system based on recombinant genetic inheritance. This process includes both egg-based incubation and mammalian pregnancy life cycles! Or, more simply, breed and raise Dino Babies!



You must eat and drink to survive, with different types of plants & meats that have different nutritional properties, including human meat. Securing fresh water supplies to your home and inventory is a pressing issue. All physical actions come at the cost of food and water, long-distance travel is fraught with subsistence danger! Weight Inventory makes you move slower, and the day / night cycle along with the randomized weather add another layer of challenge by altering the ambient temperature, making you hungry or thirsty faster. Build a fire or shelter, and craft a wide variety of customizable clothing and armor to help protect yourself from geographic damage and extreme temperatures using a dynamic indoor / outdoor isolation calculation system!



By chopping down forests full of trees and mining and other valuable resources, you can craft parts to build massive multi-level structures made up of complex early connected parts, including ramps, beams, columns, windows, doors, gates, distant gates, hatches, plumbing pipes, mixers, generators, wires and all kinds of electrical appliances, and ladders among many other types. The structure of the load system will fall apart if enough support has been destroyed, so strengthening your buildings is important. All structures and elements can be painted to customize the look of your home, as well as the placement of dynamically pixel-by-pixel paintable signs, text billboards, and other decorative items. Shelter reduces the extremes of the weather and provides security for yourself and your stash!
