PROFESSIONAL COMPUTER MODEL FOR EVALUATING INVESTMENT PROJECTS WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF CONSTRUCTING A COMPLETE FINANCIAL PLAN OF THE OPERATING ENTERPRISE
The current version of the program is AltInvest Summ 5.0.
AltInvest Summ is a computer model designed to evaluate investment projects of various industries, scale and focus. AltInvest Summ is especially convenient for assessing projects implemented at an operating enterprise - the model allows you to describe and evaluate the effectiveness of several investment decisions, build a consolidated financial plan of an operating enterprise, assess the state of the enterprise, taking into account investment projects.
The model makes it possible to assess the state of the enterprise, taking into account investment projects in the following areas:
Investment efficiency (capital investment)
A set of indicators is calculated for each investment project: simple and discounted payback period, NPV, IRR, NPVR, maximum lending rate. Also, performance indicators are determined for the selected group of investment projects.
Financial soundness
For each investment project, a cash flow statement is generated, which allows you to determine the need for each project and group of projects in funding sources. The model of the settlement account of the enterprise without taking into account projects and the model of the settlement account of the enterprise taking into account the projects allow to determine the possibilities of the enterprise to finance projects from its own funds, as well as to assess the need for borrowed sources of financing. When constructing lending schedules, previously attracted loans from an operating enterprise are taken into account.
Project implementation risks
Sensitivity analysis allows you to determine the boundaries of the change in the initial parameters at which the selected final indicators remain an acceptable level.
AltInvest Summ allows you to simultaneously describe and evaluate from one to twenty investment projects. Description and assessment of the effectiveness of each of the projects is carried out on a separate sheet - a sheet that repeats the type of AltInvest model.
The model provides an opportunity to evaluate not only each project separately, but also the effectiveness of the total investment costs for a group of projects. In this case, you can select projects in a group at your discretion.
Entering the actual data of the Balance Sheet and the Profit Statement of the operating company allows you to automatically generate the financial plan of the operating company. The model can represent the future state of the enterprise only on the basis of data from the actual reporting forms (such a need arises if there is no information about the long-term plans of the enterprise). You can also make adjustments to the company's financial plan by setting changes in production volumes, costs, capital investments, transfer of existing unfinished investments to the balance sheet, service schedules for previously attracted loans. At the same time, important regularities are correctly taken into account - a change in the need for working capital with a change in production volumes, a change in depreciation charges when entering or selling fixed assets.
The model generates three basic forms of financial reporting - Cash Flow Statement, Profit Statement, Balance Sheet, and a set of basic financial indicators:
for each of the considered projects;
for a selected group of investment projects;
for an enterprise excluding projects;
for an enterprise, taking into account investment projects.
When constructing financing schedules, you can estimate the cash flow of each project individually, a group of projects, an enterprise without projects, as well as the company's current account, taking into account projects.
AltInvest Summ provides a wide range of options for choosing a calculation method. Calculations can be performed both in constant and in current prices, to simulate various options for the development of inflationary processes. Calculations can be carried out both in mono-currency and in dual-currency mode with the choice of the required currency for the totals.
