Batman: Arkham Asylum is a seemingly standard third-person adventure game based on the famous series, but the developers at Rocksteady managed to create what I call unique game mechanics. Or rather, they managed to come up with two whole interesting mechanics - combat mechanics and mechanics, which I called "Predator Hunt". The combat mechanics are reminiscent of battles from the last Prince, only you are fighting not with one enemy, but with a whole horde. You have one button for a strike, one for a block with a counterattack, one for a jump, one for a swing with a cloak (disarms or puts you in a stupor), a couple of gadgets, a couple of super moves, and all this merges into a mind-blowing battle mixture. No battle is like another, the outcome and spectacle of the battle depends very much on your skill in this game. You won't be able to just press one hit button, here you need to look at the situation: what kind of criminals, what kind of weapon they have in their hands, how far they are from you and what they are doing at the moment. Each button contains over a dozen different animations of techniques that are activated in different ways, depending on the situation, and because of this, the fight does not look monotonous at all. When a real master plays, it is simply a bewitching sight, you need to see it, watch the video and see for yourself.
