Description
If you want to create a two-factor authentication system on your website, then this module is right for you. This system allows you to make two-factor authorization on your website using tokens (otp token without events). The two-factor authentication system with tokens is an excellent alternative to the SMS authentication system. Tokens are completely autonomous and are not connected in any way with a computer or a network, which increases the security of your data on the site. A similar system is used in banks and is expensive - about $ 1700 for every 10 users. There is no beautiful advertising here, but our product is so flexible that you can use the two-factor authorization system on any site and the number of users is not limited.
This two-factor authentication system is an improved version of Basic authentication, where the password consists of two parts: the first (immutable) - constant characters that the user must remember himself and the second part - the password generated by the token in a certain period of time (30 sec, 2 min ..). Without a token, the user will not be able to access the site, and the tokens themselves are not connected in any way with the computer and constantly generate new numbers in a certain period of time. Each token has its own private key in Base32 format, which is added to the site database, to the record of a specific user, and is processed by the site when it tries to authorize this user. If the result of processing the secret key matches the entered password, then the user gets access to the site's resources until the end of the session, the duration of which is set by the administrator. After successful "passage" of two-factor authorization by the user, if necessary, he can also be obliged to additionally authorize with the standard site menu, with the usual user password of the site.
On the one hand, this is a complex module that not every programmer is familiar with, but on the other hand, it is made so that you can easily implement a two-factor authentication system on any site with minimal skills. You can also use this module for authorization in the menu of your site, without Basic authentication, by modifying it.
