The Book of Thoth is one of the major works of Aleister Crowley (pseudonym The Master Therion). It was conceived by him as a "beginner's guide" to the Tarot. It is not easy to learn to read the Tarot or quickly master the Crowley's deck from the "Book of Thoth", but it serves as a reference book for many serious researchers of occult philosophy. The book includes an analysis of the structure of the Tarot, detailed descriptions of the symbolism of each of the 78 cards, an authentic "Crowleyan" divination procedure, the main provisions of Hermetic philosophy and religion, extensive excerpts from the most important texts of Crowley.
